hello all, drove for the first time today since operation, very hard getting in and out of the car, only drove here in town, though I wanted to go to wally-world in batavia (which is about 15 miles west) to find something crafty to do, getting tired of puzzle books and have read all the books that I have here, just trying to keep walking. time for lunch and more meds. can't wait until the weekend when Dad & Mom get here, kids are very excited to see them to, Allen is to busy to notice anything including that he has wore 2 different sneakers to work for 3 days

Friday 9/5/08

hello all, feeling stronger every day, able to walk longer distances each day. went to walmart with my friend cindi (who also had this surgery,) walk from grocery section to health and beauty section then check-out that was enough, was tired came home took a rest in BED finally for 90 minutes and slept very sound. was able to turn over on my back then other side to get out of bed, (huge accomplishment.) am going to wait few more nights until I try bed for the whole night. still have no appetite but am drinking plenty of water and juices. enough for now bye

Wed. 9/3

morning all. Kids start back to school this a.m. I am very excited for them but very scared about be in the house alone, Allen is in the back yard working on the warehouse for our new landlord and he has his phone on him but still am nervous. Ammanda is the best she is such a mother hen, she set out my bowl for cereal, and the spoon and napkin and the cereal, and the banana all on the serving tray that i use. She made sure that everything that i need is up high enough to reach because I can't bend at all. Allen is taking me to the Dr. tommorrow (9/4) to have my staples removed, we have a list of question for the dr. am getting very stiff, trying to walk as much as possible but only in the house where even safe floors, he won't let me try outside, worried about uneven ground and tripping. all for now getting stiff sitting in the chair time for a few laps around house, love to all, TERI

1 week post surgery

Well it's been 1 week, am getting around good, hard to sit still, very hard to sit at all, mostly lay down but then my hips get tired so i have to keep switching sides. Kids have been great help. they both take turns staying the living room with me to help me get up for the bathroom at night.
