I am still struggling with my hand, I am going back to the Doctor on Thursday. I have been taking the Motrin and wearing my splint, but it still hurts and sometimes it hurts worse then other times. I try to move my hand and wrist around while I am in the pool at Physical therapy. I feel like that is starting to work, I am not as stiff after for a day or two. I used my treadmill every night before bed, it helps me relax and gets me sleepy faster. I am glad that Dad is feeling better finally, I hope you don't get sick with another cruise just around the corner. I would like to go on another cruise sometime, especially since Allen has never gone on one. It would be really great if Rick & Donna and their family could go, (a real family reunion). Well something to think about anyway. be safe, Love to all who read. TERI

Frigid Friday

Went to the hand Dr. yesterday, I have just what I thought, tendonitis in my thumb from the track ball mouse.( to many jigsaw puzzles on pogo while recovering from back surgery) I have to take 600 milligrams of Motrin(an antiinflamatory) and wear this very uncomfortable splint, return visit in 6 weeks. I went to physical thearapy today. I enjoy being in the pool but getting out and then going home semi-wet in 6 degree weather is just CRAZY COLD. It takes me hours to get warm. I feel better every time after. I feel like I am making progress with the help of my daily treadmill and other stretches I do at night, if I can just keep from falling I might be good as new by next August. How many days until the cruise? I am sure Dad is counting down!!!! I know saying "Enjoy the cruise is kinda silly who wouldn't" but have a great time anyway, and DON'T WORRY ABOUT EATING A DESSERT OR TWO, you will work it off running from those Gators at your new nature walk. Love to you, Dad, Aunt Flo & Don.

Glummy Tuesday

Hello Mom since you are the only one who reads this. I took Dakoda to the Dr. today for a check in for his meds. she wants to see him every 6 months. I had her look at my right hand, she is sending me to a hand doctor and his name is Dr. David Mitten how funny. She thinks it is tendonitis in my thumb and wrist. She said I will either get a special hand splint or maybe a cortizone shot. I choose the splint. I see that doctor on thursday. I am going to therapy every wednesday and friday which is helping if I can stop falling, I fell twice yesterday morning just trying to leave for work. I am glad I got my pain meds. and a heating pad. I am going to tell my therapist first thing when I get there in case she wants to change my exercises any. I am very sore though. I am trying to be more careful thats all I can do. thanks for listening or reading my rambling.

Eventful Day

Hi all who might read, I got clearance from the Dr. to be able to go back out in the field, so the office called me this morning to cover 3 cases, I went to 2 because I knew the clients from before my surgery, they were 2 of my regulars, and boy were they happy to see me. It really felt good to go to the clients house and helping them get ready for their day. I am not going to over do to much to fast.
I am up to 20 minutes on my treadmill, everyone is right it goes faster with music, I borrowed Ammandas MP3 player, we do not have the same taste in music but it has a radio so I listened to my kind of music. The kids and I are using the treadmill daily, I think that Dakoda is just having fun not really using it as a work-out, but at least he is trying.
